6 – 8 December 2023, Pretoria
A CONFERENCE ON “THE INTERSECTION OF JUSTICE AND DECOLONIALITY – STRATEGIES FOR THE TRANSFORMATIVE AND REFORMATIVE AGENDA”

The Afrikan Peer Growth Network will host its 3rd Annual Conference in partnership with the University of South Africa between 6 and 8 December 2023. The conference will be held at the Muckleneuk Campus in Pretoria, and will also be beamed on Teams, allowing researchers from across the globe to participate.  The theme for this year is largely influenced by the need to decolonize and transform the knowledge production systems in the continent, and to find lasting solutions to Afrika’s problems by allowing Afrikans to dialogue and engage on so many topical developmental issues.

Selected high quality papers will be subjected to a double blind peer review process, and considered for publication in dedicated special issue journals. Further, a book on the Teaching of International Law in Africa will be produced which will feature chapters from selected high quality papers under theme 7.

The hallmark of this conference is the first day which is dedicated to capacity development of junior and emerging scholars in the form of a research and publication colloquium. Whilst the colloquium unfolds on day one, established researchers and scholars continue to present their papers  and engage in parallel sessions. The second and third days are designed to allow mingling between established researchers and junior or emerging scholars, with the programme being designed to ensure a mix of papers from these different sectors.

Do not miss out on another exciting opportunity to transform the knowledge economy in Afrika!
